No prizes but something to do on a rainy day.I was blown away when I walked around these trees to see how many were nesting amongst the branches and roots. If you ever get a chance go but don’t just stay on O’ahu you have to visit the other Islands especially The Big Island with its active volcanoes. The geology is stunning and the national parks amazing. Yes it has great surf and beaches but travelling around is like visiting many countries as the environmental diversity is huge. One minute you’re in an alpine environment, then a desert and then a rainforest . Visually it’s stunning with some unusual vegetation and I’ll post some more landscapes up in the near future.Check out the lava flows which just swamped the road and came up to the height of the signpost. These flows grow every day and create a surreal lunascape with new vegetation popping up amongst the flows. It’s worth hiring a car just to get out and get a feel of the island, to live, taste and see it all but plan on booking the car before you go as it can be expensive or difficult to find any on the day.
